Carmen Butler is an HR Operations leader with over 15 years of experience. She has expertise in building scalable HR infrastructures, optimizing HR and Talent Acquisition processes, and driving global growth. Carmen is skilled in leading cross-functional initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to refine HR programs, and ensuring compliance across multiple states and international locations. She is adept at managing HR technology stacks, compensation and benefits programs, and immigration policies.
In her current role as Director of People Operations at Motive Technologies, Inc., she has led the design and implementation of global People Operations infrastructure and developed HR frameworks to ensure compliance with labor laws across multiple states and international locations. She also partnered with senior leadership and departments to drive critical people projects and drove HR technology roadmaps.
Previously, Carmen was the Manager of Global Talent Acquisition Operations at Workday, where she managed a global team and designed scalable processes to enhance recruitment efficiency. She also spearheaded the global implementation of a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Vendor Management System (VMS) to improve contingent workforce management and compliance with GDPR.
Earlier in her career, Carmen was the Director of Human Resources at First Place for Youth, where she designed and implemented HR infrastructure to support organizational growth and developed compensation and benefits strategies that supported employee retention and engagement. She also led diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Carmen holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management from Mills College.
Derrick Butler is originally from Columbus, Georgia, and grew up in a
military/entrepreneurial household, where his father was an officer in the
Army for 30 years, and his mother was a licensed barber and a publisher.
Derrick chose business as a career path early, as he began working in his
mothers business at the age of 11. Growing up in the business world
gave Derrick a passion for Entrepreneurship, and he believed that a degree
in business was a necessity to achieve success.
Derrick is currently the Regional Sales Executive for AMAROK Perimeter Security and the Founder/CEO of Krisspi Technologies, an application-based company that connects barbers
and hairstylists with clients who need hair services at home, office, or hotel.
Krisspi is like "Uber" for barbers and hairstylists. Krisspi has received national press in Digital Journal, PR Underground, and most recently on the digital news site Recently Heralded.
Derrick is also an active member of (2) two alumni fraternities Pershing Riflemen, and Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc., and holds a leadership position in both.
Derrick holds an Executive MBA from Saint Mary's College of California in Moraga, California.
